In the aftermath of the Egyptian Revolution, the Supreme Court of Armed Forces (SCAF) seized the country and imposed emergency laws under the guise of creating order. The weary populous, having lost hundreds to end Hosni Mubarak's 30-year reign, accepted while hoping the SCAF was with them.
Months later, thousands have been arrested and sentenced by military tribunals. Tahrir Square, the symbol of the revolution, is populated by riot police. The freedom many Egyptians crave is anything but certain.
